Limited edition in the making

In just a few days we will receive our first limited edition collection. A long process of design, travels, sourcing, development, sample making, sales, administration and not least production lies ahead of the delivery. Even something very simple often requires endless time and effort. But in the end when the product finally arrives it is so satisfying that I *forget about the challenging part of the process.
A few weeks ago Line and I went to see the process in the bag factory in a small village outside Florence. These visits are actually the part of my job I enjoy the most!

Photographer Elisabeth Heltoft has an eye for young, fresh, affordable art and her home is just as playful and unpretentious as her Copenhagen gallery, Chi Chi Potter. When you enter her home you are instantly drawn by the relaxed atmosphere -and not least by the superb views of Copenhagen from her kitchen window. I would move there tomorrow if I could!

When I´m in Italy I need a coffee break at least once a day -even if I´m not usually a coffee drinker. It is often with this man, the Dear Piero who is an important part of my team in Italy. To me, Piero is THE one and only leather man. He started working in tanneries after school when he was 14 and he is an encyclopedia when it comes to knowledge about leather. He does not speak much English and I do not speak Italian at all but we both know what a break means. On my recent visit Piero introduced me to the most amazing stock of leather I have seen so far. I have already made an order from this stock and much more will come during the next season. So stayed tuned for news, news, news…

Today we are celebrating my blog´s first year. Thank you Line for encouraging me to tell the stories behind my finished product and thank you for the beautiful pictures!

I´m happy that I have not only reached you in Scandinavia but also in Australia, US, Brazil, South Africa, Poland, The Netherlands, Italy, UK, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, The Middle East and maybe a few other countries… Keep spreading the word.
